So, as y’all know, and have been made painfully aware of by my panic posts for the last few months/years/life, I’m currently neck-deep in work on my Master’s thesis. I’m pursuing an artistic thesis at NYU’s Gallatin School for Individualized Study, which means half of my work is academic - my research thesis is on queer self-making and the revolutionary capacities of selfies, or “generous narcissism” - and half is artistic. The artistic component of my Master’s thesis will culminate in a performance piece to be made available for public participation. A short description of the piece and a link to its tumblr are posted below.
What I really need is for you, and you, and everyone you know to reblog this, boost it, spread the word like wildfire and if at all possible come come come come COME and be a part of this!I have been working on this project for nearly a year, and it’s shaping up to be INCREDIBLE, if I do say so myself.

INTIMACY OPPORTUNITY: A Study in Generous Narcissism is an interactive virtual performance that asks how we communicate and feel one an/Other in a moment that is always already mediated. The piece considers the radical potential of online space as a queer alternative public. How has the dissolution of the borders between flesh and information enabled opportunities for new and more queer kinds of intimacy, friendship, and erotics?
INTIMACY OPPORTUNITY: A Study in Generous Narcissism is happening on Saturday, April 13th, from 3-6 PM, at TEMP Art Space, 57 Walker in Manhattan.

Seattle Museum of Flight Exhibits Wonder Woman's Plane

One of the most famous aircrafts in pop culture is Wonder Woman’s Invisible plane. And now visitors to the Seattle Museum of Flight can see an exhibit of the plan. The exhibit, which opened yesterday April 1, features a full size version of the plane.

There’s a special page on the museum’s website that provides facts about the plane and lets you take a 360° cockpit tour.

It’s incredibly impressive when you see it up this close.

Wang Yue, a senior at Dalian Industry University, uses her paintbrush to turn ugly tree holes into lovely views in Shijiazhuang, capital city of Hebei Province.

Wang Yue calls the tree-hole paintings “meitu” which means “beautiful journey.” The paintings on the trees have brightened the city during the dull, grey winter.

well I wouldn’t call them “ugly” tree holes because they’re actually really cool looking but these paintings are still rad as hell

People always think that when you sleep together, there’s always something that is happening in between the sheets and the bed. But let me tell you, It’s not always like that. The feeling of actually hugging each other until you fall asleep, the warmth of each other’s breath, and the total happiness in the morning when you wake up right beside him. Everything may sound too good to be true, but sometimes it takes a lot of responsibility and love to be able to be as wholesome as possible. Sleeping with your special someone is one of the most heartwarming experiences you’ll ever have. No nothing, simply hugging and smiling yourself to sleep.

<3 Long distance relationships are the worst.

On the bright side Dan and I finished planning our Europe trip for May/June. Flying into London and out of Amsterdam!
